BioI am a martial artist with a love for dragons. I favour reason over faith and honesty over flattery or political correctness. I like challenging ideas and challenges in general. I am against any form of organised religion. I am interested in very, very many things, but some interests have developed into lifestyle. I am currently living in Berlin and enjoying every moment of it.
I am a long-time Chen Tai-ji practitioner.
I am a 1st geup holder in ITF taekwon-do, currently preparing for Degree exams.
I am a linguist and Egyptologist by profession, a researcher and occasionally also University teacher.
I am a devoted student of the Chinese language.
I am also kind of obsessed by anything Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Torchwood.
I have also found out that I just don't belong - I stand out of whatever group I ever join, so I guess I am just weird, extremely anti-herdlike and stubborn. There were times when I desperately wanted to belong, but I have come to terms with myself and now I am reasonably happy with who I am. My opinions are mine and I will not adjust them to fit anywhere. I can be persuaded by sound arguments that I am wrong, and I will never dislike anyone for not sharing my opinions.
Stupidity, though, deserves to be mocked. Call me arrogant, I'm used to that.
Due to some work-related and other issues, I am since recently friend-locking the majority of the posts.
And, for luck, I have adopted a piggy. Love piggies ;o) so be nice to Porco.
